Irish poet John O'Donohue writes of the human condition, “It is strange to be here. The mystery never leaves you alone. Behind your image, below your words, above your thoughts, the silence of another world waits. A world lives within you. No one else can bring you news of this inner world.”

The good stuff of life is found in this mystery. My role as a therapist is to accompany you as you explore your inner world and offer tools as you move into alignment with yourself. This process brings healing, contentment, freedom, and the skills to ride life’s waves.

I primarily work within the Internal Family Systems model. I am fortunate to have completed Master’s level IFS coursework and to receive regular supervision by an IFS Level II clinician. My specific approach is tailored to each client, and often incorporates somatic approaches and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Everything we'll do is grounded in mindfulness and trauma-informed engagement.

I earned my Master’s of Science in Social Work, Clinical Practice with Trauma Treatment Certificate, from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 2025. During this program, I served acute patients in a psychiatric hospital and individual clients in outpatient therapy. I come to therapy work after 10 years in student development, cross-cultural learning, and public health research in Latin America and the United States. I also hold two master’s degrees from Vanderbilt University (Master of Education in International Education Policy and Management and Master of Arts in Latin American Studies) and a Bachelor of Arts from Whitworth University in Sociology and Spanish. While I am a native English speaker, I’m also fluent in Spanish and happy to use whichever language is most comfortable for others.

I am energized by working with people that hold all constellations of identities. I specialize in the following populations and issues:

  • Relationship challenges

  • Life transitions

  • Men’s issues

  • Trauma treatment

  • Higher education faculty, staff, students

  • Community organizers

  • Spiritual/Religious transitions and challenges

I have built my life in Tennessee, and recently moved to Rhode Island to support my wife’s (very exciting) career path. Because of this transition, I now serve clients based in Tennessee via telehealth appointments. Outside of seeing clients I take care of our new baby, try to get more people to ride bicycles, and pet my old hound dog while listening to groovy music.

If you think we'd be a good fit, please reach out to schedule a free consultation call. If we aren't the best fit, I can help refer you to a quality provider. I keep my schedule open enough to best serve my clients. Also- please ask about sliding scale availability! I don’t want money to be a barrier for quality therapy.
